How We Changed the World!

We have all finished writing up the steps to our Action Plan and have been gathering our documentation.  This week we will be putting it all on a poster board and displaying on the 4th grade hallway.

Check out Isabel Mateush reducing her carbon footprint!

She has figured out a way NOT to send her old clothing to the landfill.  Isabel and her dad have designed a pattern for a doll, cut it out, and stitched it together.  She had so much fun that she made 3 dolls.  They are adorable, Isabel!

Blast From the Past....Leaders are Readers!

Jonathan Phillips, Youth Minister from North Spartanburg Baptist Church, entertained us with his many pirate voices when reading from one of our favorite pirate books.

Blogging with Miss Glay

Weekend lessons in blogging might not be fun, unless they are spent at
Panera Bread with Miss Glay.
Dr. Patterson, you are invited next week.

Blast Off With Our Rocket Experiments!

In science class we designed rockets with 1 variable. The variable was the length of the rocket body. Dylan designed his rocket to be medium and his distace was 48 foot and he won. He launched the rocket by himself and he stepped on the launcher lightly. His smile says it all!!!

Taylor Lawter and Jacie came in 1st after the redesign.  Go, girls!

Isabella and Taylor Crosby came in second.  Check out that hot nose design!

In the re-design of the rocket experiment Dylan decided to stick with his initial hypothesis that a medium size body would go the greatest distance.  Unfortunately, everyone else in the class decided to re-think their original designs.  So, Dylan didn't end up in first place, but he did come in 3rd with a distance of 47ft.  Congratulations, Dylan!     by Mrs. Johnson
